Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a form of chronic complication of diabetes mellitus in the form of open wounds on the surface of the skin that can be accompanied by death of local tissue / ulcer. This complication can certainly be fatal if it does not get serious attention. Deaths from gangrene ulcers in diabetics in Indonesia reached 32% while the number of amputations was 30%.
